Maison Padre Pio
MAISON PADRE PIO – inaugurated in 2012
The Casa Famiglia is a residential shelter for twenty-eight children from all regions of the IvoryCoast. The children we welcome are minors cared for by the Department of Social Services. TheAssociation in collaboration with Social Services develops individual projects, centered on thewelfare of children under our protection. Most of the children are removed from their family oforigin due to serious circumstances such as neglect, parental incapacity, abuse, episodes ofviolence, drug addiction, alcoholism and deaths in childbirth.
The children welcomed in the CasaFamiglia live in a family atmosphere, are pampered, cared for, protected, and guided. We workto equip them with the necessary tools to become educated and self-sufficient adults. Webelieve this is the key to developing changes in the community. What differentiates us fromother Ivorian NGOs, and, of particular importance for the local government, is the activation ofindividual programs that facilitate the process of the psychological and socialrecovery of every child. The Association supports the costs for academic education, medical health care, psychological support, food and lodging, clothing, support for school rehabilitation, sports and games.
Les Anges de Padre Pio
LES ANGES DE PADRE PIO – inaugurated in 2016
The orphanage is a residential shelter, that at the moment welcomes thirty babies: Orphans, abandoned children who come from families in temporary situations of serious socio-economic hardship, orphans of childbirth or of both parents. The “Angels” find LOVE, proper nutrition, a pediatric health service that is of prime importance in the first months of life and qualified professional personnel appropriate to the characteristics and needs of children. The approach to our children is characterized by the individual educational project, developed in synergy with the social worker and the pediatrician, and which specifies the phases o intervention, the objectives to be achieved, the contents and the ways to implement it. Upon arrival, the infants present severe forms of malnutrition which compromise their physical and mental development. The orphanage has huge running costs because expensive medical care is involved. Food products are imported from Italy for more adequate nutrition with added vitamins to address malnutrition and growth factors. The relationship between personal and the newborn is one to two. The orphanage is able to accommodate seventy babies and minors.

The Village is a residential shelter for forty children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. We can host up to twenty more during the daytime activities. The aim of the project is to create a welcoming atmosphere for the participants in the day program and for our resident children, allowing them creative development and improving their communication and learning skills. We include time for fun and games, and we encourage them to reinforce personal and social autonomy.
The daily support of our qualified staff is indispensable, for taking care of individual medical and health care. Physiotherapy is provided three times a week with cutting-edge equipment for specific rehabilitation needs. Fortnight biomedical updates are carried out to monitor the health of our guests and to regulate individual therapy.
